RELIABLE OBEDIENCE

PREVIEW

RELIABLE OBEDIENCE

This tutorial is suitable for pet, sport, and working dog owners.

You get to follow the journey of Frederick and Franklin as we focus on the different stages and progressions of training in order to develop reliable obedience. This is then demonstrated with footage of their actual training sessions learning the commands Sit, Down, and Stand.
Additionally, we discuss the overall concept and learning theory behind this process as well as how to introduce and use pressure/negative reinforcement in your training.
With this information, you can then apply this system to ANY behaviour you want to teach you dog!

Video Length: 70minutes
Pre-requisites: Marker System (see ‘Developing Markers’ tutorial), Out, basic luring

Hey Jas, I just finished your course on reliable obedience. I love the way you introduce the prong collar into obedience as a communicative tool and definitely a process I will apply to my training. I also thought it was quite cool that you went in depth to explain drive leaking and prong activation to reward as they were both questions I thought to ask right before you went into the explanation.
The points you make with arousal levels and making body cues not a predictable form of information to the dog were the biggest take aways for me, as I often find dogs predicting my commands right before I give them.
I think your explanations were great, easy to digest and has given me a bunch of cool things to practice!
Thanks for making the course and look forward to what else is to come.

Cheers,

Hey jas how are you! I just wanted to say how much I loved the obedience video you put up using the prong collar! this has been super helpful for me and I hope a lot of people appreciate how much great content is in that video!
The structure was perfect I think its great how you broke it up, it keeps people engaged in what your doing.
I think it was just the right amount of detail! And thoroughly enjoyed it, I think a lot of trainers will get some good stuff out of it! thank you for sharing it! Can’t wait to see more future videos!

Hey Jas!
I messaged you before on instagram user name anonymous. I just completed watching your video twice through, and I want to say first of all well done ! the core content is excellent but there’s so many small take away’s from it as well that are just as important, explaining the drive leak, over arousal and how to calm was awesome, the trouble shooting at the end with reward placement another excellent tip, showing when mistakes were made was more educational then a smooth session as when we are training dogs it more often than not it never goes to plan 100%.

I highly recommend people get the Obedience video. A lot of information can be sourced from this tutorial. I’ve been using it to learn how I can be more precise and deliberate with my own dogs and the criteria of their commands.
